Sometimes you have to do things the local level when higher governments fail. When the state fails to secure medical freedom, a county government has to step in. When the federal government fails to evacuate Americans trapped abroad, a state government can get it done.

Sarasota passes resolutions to protect medical freedom

Since our state legislators didn’t have the courage to pass HB305/SB222, it would be nice if more counties could do this.

Resolution 1: Bill of Rights Sanctuary County

“Sarasota County has the right to be free from the commanding hand of the federal government and has the right to seek judicial relief from the unlawful conduct of federal government officials in response to unconstitutional federal government measures.

“THEREFORE, through the adoption of this Resolution, Sarasota County, Florida is hereby declared to be a Bill of Rights Sanctuary County.”

Resolution 2: Medical Freedom Resolution

1. Right to Medical Freedom: No State or Federal executive order can override the rights enumerated in our State and Federal Constitutions. It is unlawful in any circumstance to mandate any medical protocol, experimental drug, medical procedure, medication, device, biological agent, toxin, radioactive exposure or medical treatment to any patient or citizen in Sarasota County.

2. Right to Freedom from Discrimination in Medical Matters: It is against the law to discriminate against any patient or citizen in Sarasota County based on their medical or healthcare decisions and status. No pharmaceutical or medical institution can mandate that a person’s vaccine or medical history status is a precondition to admittance, treatment, intervention or therapy.

3. Right to Informed Consent of Patients Without Interference: Withholding information from patients violates informed consent. Medical professionals and medical institutions are prohibited from coercing, intimidating or bribing patients or being compensated to entice a patient to participate with any medical treatment. No authority may restrict or inhibit any medical professional from fully discussing pros, cons and any other information concerning any proposed medical treatment or procedure.

4. Right to Follow the Code of Ethics: Sarasota County Citizens have the right to receive care by medical professionals consistent with the highest standards of medical ethics.

5. A Sacrosanct Relationship Between Patient and Medical Professionals: Medical professionals and patients have the right to use any and all legally available medications and / or therapies, on or off label, without refusal, reprisal or punishment. No legal, standard or alternative treatments should be denied or restricted by any third party.

6. Right to Exclude Third Party Interference: Human rights are given to us by God and these rights are protected by the U.S. and Florida State Constitutions. The 9th and 10th amendments to the U.S. Constitution and Article 1 Section 1 of the Florida State Constitution protect these medical rights against any mandates from the World Health Organization, any other international body, federal or state governments.

7. Right of Free Movement: Medical and / or Vaccine Passports are prohibited in Sarasota

County. Citizens cannot be denied entrance to any public facility or accommodation based on medical and / or vaccine status. Travel cannot be restricted in Sarasota County based on medical and / or vaccine status.

8. Right to Medical Advocate: Sarasota County citizens and / or patients must have the right to access their medical advocate(s). Further, those medical advocates, and the citizen’s family members and personal physicians must be allowed to visit Sarasota County citizens if and when they are admitted into a medical facility. If a patient wishes to leave the hospital against medical advice (AMA), the medical facility must comply with those wishes.

9. Protection Against Quarantine: No citizen of Sarasota County shall be quarantined without judicial review in a court of law.

10. Rights of Medical Professionals: All medical professionals have the right to enjoy equally all of the above stated medical freedoms without violation or restriction
