Counties stop funding ALA
Two Florida counties voted to stop funding “the notoriously left-wing” American Library Association (ALA). The ALA has been big on promoting the LGBT agenda and drag shows for kids. The ALA president, Emily Drabinski, is a self-professed “Marxist lesbian” and says children’s access to sexually explicit content is important to her.
This story talks about Hernando County, which has one of our FloridaCAN members pictured at the podium.
Here’s the story about Citrus County:
Local action gets results
Daniel’s good buddy at The Blaze, Steve Deace, had a great letter he read on his Oct 18 show. You can hear about it on the 10/18 show (link below). It starts at 1:10:37 and lasts less than 5 minutes.

The writer said she and a group of friends formed a group, “Momma Bears of Forsythe County,” and they speak at school board meetings to stand up to agendas that target children.
She learned of an advertisement for a drag show for kids hosted by “Mrs. Ivana Humpalot,” so she got men to volunteer to attend the event and eventually bought up most of the tickets. The organizer found out and canceled the event. Mission accomplished.
Later the group showed up at a county commission meeting to demand a law to make drag shows adult only events. The pressure caused the owner of the restaurant hosting the drag shows to cancel future shows and announce no more shows in the future. They even contacted the owner’s pastor to put him “under Godly counsel.”
The team now has an “underground action network” of local churches.
This is Daniel’s (and my) fantasy for Constitution Action Network. We can be more effective locally. It doesn’t take many people to push a school board or a county or city commission. Once we have functioning teams at the county level, it’s easy team up and push at the state level.
